It comes with 4GB LPdDR4 RAM, 32/64GB of internal storage expandable via a micro-SD card (of up to 128GB) and a 3,000mAh battery with fast charging support. HMD Global claims the smartphone can attain a 50 per cent charge in just 30 minutes.
Nokia 6 (2018) runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. The handset is also expected to receive an update to Android 8.0 Oreo after sometime. But the company hasn’t so far provided any official details on the latest Android update. On the display part, the Nokia 6 (2018) features a 5.5-inch IPS display with a full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution and 16:9 aspect ratio. The device will come with either 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage that can be expanded via microSD card by another 128 GB.
It comes with a 16MP camera with phase detection autofocus, an aperture of f/2.0 and a dual-LED flash. There is an 8MP sensor on the front with a 84 degree wide-angle lens and an aperture of f/2.0. Cameras are almost same as its predecessor. The only addition to this is the Bothie(dual sight capture) feature. The bothie mode will activate both the front and rear cameras to capture photos or video. To beef up its video capabilities, Nokia is also included OZO Audio recording.
As usual as today’s phones there is also the fingerprint scanner, which is just under the rear camera. This is a change from the 2017 Nokia 6 that had its scanner on the front of the device. More or less there isn’t a huge difference or amazing upgrades in this version from the previous one. It may disappoint some the Nokia users even though there isn’t much price difference. Pre-orders for the Nokia 6(2018) have already begun in China with sales set to begin on January 10. There is no information as of now regarding the smartphone’s global roll-out but we can expect it to launch in India in the coming months.
